Color
I love color. If I could decorate my house in rich, beautiful, saturated colors I would. But for some reason I tend to shy away from it. Maybe it's my fear of it looking like a circus, or not knowing how to mix and match them, but I would love to incorporate more color into my household. I think it would really brighten up the joint.

Making a house a home
Sounds as easy, right. In the 8 months that we've lived here this has proven to be much more difficult than one would think. The thing with furnishing a house and really creating a home is the fact that it's much more final than living in an apartment.
Finding your style can be overwhelming. We've noticed that when we find pieces of furniture that they are usually farmhouse style. As much as we enjoy this style we worry that our home will turn into a shabby chic showcase, and this is definitely not the goal.
Every item is scrutinized, when we find something at a chain store we go back every weekend just to look at it and make sure we absolutely love it. When we finally go back to purchase it, sometimes it's sold out or discontinued and then the hunt begins again.
I have a feeling that we'll be hunting for years to come, and it will eventually lose its allure. But as long as we do it together, it will be awesome because we'll be doing it for our home...our future. And this will forever make me happy.
